Abstract: This study presents using of locally available betel nut fiber waste as reinforcement for composite preparation by hand layup and compression molding technique. Mechanical properties such as tensile strength, flexural strength and impact strength of the composites with volume fraction (10, 20, 30 and 40 %) were evaluated. Thermal properties and water absorption capacity were also investigated. Results are statistically analyzed and found improvement in mechanical strength of these composites compared to virgin polymer.
