The number of draw frame passages had a marginal influence on the magnitude of hooks in the rotor; the direction of feed had no effect. The mean hook extent of the rotor fibre ring was affected neither by the draw frame passages nor by the direction of feed, but was always less than the mean hook extent of the feed sliver.en_US
