Abstract: The circularity factor of wool fibres of 23 breeds was related to the major axis of the cross-sections. The true and medullated fibres were studied separately for the regression of circularity factor on the major axis. Common regressions were obtained wherever possible by combining the true fibres of exotic and crossbred and the natives. Similarly, the true and medullated fibres of some of the individual breeds could be combined. However, the medullated fibres failed to combine, though in one case a common regression coefficient was possible. Irrespective of the type of fibres the circularity factor decreased with increase in the major axis. The circularity factor of medullated fibres was less than that of true fibres.
