| Abstract: | A number of 3-(p- and m-arylazophenyl)-2-methyl-4-quinazolinone dyes were prepared and their dyeing performance on polyester and nylon fibres was assessed. All the dyes showed fair to very good fastness to light and very good to excellent fastness to washing rubbing, perspiration and sublimation. |
