Abstract: The stress-strain characteristics of canary-coloured Chokla wool fibres (both medullated and non-medullated) were compared in air (65 ± 5% RH and 27± 2ᵒC) and in water (27 ± 2ᵒC). The regression of the characteristics on the tex value of the fibres was also studied. In water a greater number of characteristics depended on tex. The structure of non-medullated fibres seemed to differ from that of medullated ones.
