| Abstract: | The dynamic moduli of white and canary coloured Chokla wool fibres and their alkaline thioglycollate-reduced fibres were determined with a sonic pulse of 5 kHz. The dynamic modulus of fibres decreased significantly on reduction the decrease being more in canary coloured fibres. This modulus explains more satisfactorily the role of disulphide bonds for low strains than the stress-strain characteristics obtained on an Instron at low strains of up to 2%. |
