A simple, vertical wicking height test suitable for single-end yarns was worked out. The test helps assess the relative yarn structures. The effect of twist on comparative wicking m ring-spun and rotor-spun yarns was also studied. Wicking was less sensitive to twist in open-end spun yarns.en_US
