| Abstract: | The effect of the relative twist directions of warp and weft yarns and the kind of twill on fabric characteristics like fabric sett, fabric weight, breaking strength and enlongation, fabric assistance, tears strength, bending length, air permeability, drape, twill line prominence and distinction, and curling has been studied. It has been found that the relative twist directions of warp and weft have a significant effect on tear strength, fabric stiffness, air permeability, drape, fabric appearance and curling, and insignificant or little effect on change in fabric dimensions due to wet relaxation, fabric sett, fabric weight and breaking strength. |
