| Abstract: | Spindle crowns have been used for reducing the end breaks in ring spinning. Crown-spun yarns have generally been found to be slightly weaker but more extensible and bulky compared to yarns spun by the conventional ring spinning technique. It has also been found that like rotor-spun yarns these yarns have low fibre migration, which enhances their resistance to abrasion. |
