| Abstract: | The dependence of curve parameters on fibre characters of Rambouillet, Rambouillet × Chokla and Chokla sheep wools has been studied. The results are not much different from those of the analysis of variance of unadjusted means except in stresses at 15 and 30% extensions, stress at breaking point, and the post-yield slope. The adjusted means of stress at 15% extension, post-yield slope and stress at breaking point do not differ significantly if adjusted for area, diameter and area/diameter and its CV respectively. However, in stress at 30% extension, the difference among the wools becomes more conspicuous after the adjustment of their means. |
