Adhesion of glass fibres to thermoplastics and its effect on the tensile strength of the composite materials has been studied. Scanning electron microscopy was used to assess the degree of adhesion of glass fibres to the polymer matrix. It has been found that good adhesion of glass fibre to nylon-6 in comparison to polypropylene and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene plastics results in better tensile strength behaviour of the composite materials.en_US
