The performance of the amylase produced by the culture Bacillus subtilis-159 as a desizing agent has been compared with that of three commercially available amylases. The enzyme is stable and active at 60°C. It can remove 94% size with enzyme strength of 700 units/100 ml This isolate could, therefore, be exploited for the production of amylase.en_US
