dc.description.abstractA new method for producing torque textured yarns is reported. The exploratory work presented shows that a high degree of texture can be developed in polyester, polyamide and acetate using a chemomechanical method involving solvent-substrate interactions. The method appears to be particularly attractive for texturing acetates.en_US
