dc.description.abstractEven the sheet metal bending is one of the most common metal working operations, the springback phenomenon that occurs after bending is necessary to be evaluated for obtaining a quality product. The aim of this paper is to study the influence of the bending angle, the punch radius and the sheet metal thickness toward the springback using a new experimental device for springback evaluation. This new device for springback evaluation is based on the circular bending of sheet metal. Using FEM, a numerical study is made in order to certify the experimental values results of the springback obtained by applying the circular bending method. The results validate the new bending device which could be used as a tool for dimensional control in bending and for prediction the suitable process parameters in springback reduction. en_US
