Groundwater samples were collected at 46 different locations in the study area during pre-monsoon season (2013), and the samples were analyzed for physico-chemical parameters like pH, conductance, total dissolved solids, total hardness, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, carbonate, bicarbonate, fluoride, chloride, sulphate, etc. Analytical results were compared with WHO water quality standards to assess the suitability of groundwater samples for drinking purposes. It is observed that, for some of the groundwater quality parameters, the values are not potable for drinking use. To understand the spatial distribution of suitable zones, ArcGIS was employed. Attributes were linked and spatial interpolation mapping was done. Inverse distance weighted Interpolation technique was followed for raster and vector mapping.en_US
