A ground-based millimeter-wave technique for continuous long-term monitoring of atmospheric ozone is described. It involves observation of strong emission line of ozone at 101.737 GHz and inversion of the observed line shape to obtain ozone height distribution. The instrument has a low noise superheterodyne receiver at front-end and a multi-channel acousto-optic spectrometer at back-end. This system was successfully tested during the 13th Indian Antarctic Expedition in Jan-Feb 1994.en_US
