Rain drop size distribution (RDSD), which varies with climate conditions, affects microwave and mm wave propagation severely. A RDSD model for tropical Indian climate is presented. The limitations of the exponential model for RDSD, followed by CCIR, have been highlighted, and a more appropriate log-normal distribution model for tropical climate is discussed.en_US
