| Abstract: | Somali eddies have been simulated by reduced gravity, primitive equation thermodynamic model by converting the equatorial Pacific Ocean medel of Gent & Cane to the Arabian Sea. The cyclonic/anticyclonic patterns observed in the circulation are also reflected in the sea surface height elevations and in the mixed layer depth gradients. In the periphery of the anticyclonic eddies the depressions due to the upwelling is clearly seen. |
