Ever since the discovery of equatorial Spread-F, it has been a subject of intense experimental and theoretical investigations. Very substantial progress has been made in the understanding of the generation and growth of the spread-F irregularities which occur over a wide range of scale sizes. In this presentation different instability mechanisms for the grow, of the irregularities are discussed along with the relevant experimental observations.en_US
