Non-Io related decametric radio emission data of Jupiter (NI-JDR) at 16 MHz are analyzed for the period 1965-78. The emission is shown to have a good correlation with the size of polar coronal holes of the sun and with solar wind velocity. Chreesuperposed epoch analyses of NI-JDR are performed for before and after opposition periods of each apparition separately and they reveal that in a majority of cases fast solar wind streams are involved in triggering the emission of radiation. However, in some cases, low solar wind velocity seemed to be related to decametric emission. Chree analysis with solar wind velocity extrapolated to Jupiter confirms the influence of solar wind streams on NI-JDR.en_US
