From an analysis of the Tokyo (Itabashi) and Gulmarg cosmic ray neutron monitor data, it is shown that cosmic ray diurnal anisotropy has not exhibited any anomalous features during the period Feb.-Mar. 1977. The low value of mean monthly diurnal amplitude and a shift in the diurnal phase towards morning hours observed during this period at a low threshold rigidity monitor may be accounted for in terms of the effects due to three Forbush decreases that occurred during this period.en_US
