The group delay times dɸ(f)/df have been computed from the phase spectra of atmospherics received from different. azimuth angles for frequencies between 6 and 9 kHz. The possible use of the expression fndɸ(f)/df in the estimation of source distance from a single observing station has been examined. The value of the exponent n to be used for different angles of azimuth and the corresponding correlation coefficients are presented.en_US
