| dc.description.abstract | Dense fog was seen over Delhi for a period of about 24 hr from the morning of 28 Dec.1977 to the morning of 29 Dec.1977. The top of the fog layer was recordedon the sodar echograms during day time as well as nighttime. The phenomenon is discussed in terms of the horizontal visibility and radiosonde data. The oscillations on the fog layer have been analyzed for their spectral characteristics. The utility of detecting the top of a fog layer has been emphasized in hazardous air pollution and aviation situations. | en_US |
