| Abstract: | From a study of the progressive change with increased magnetic activity in the diurnal variation of equatorial electrojet field at Trivandrum in the Indian region, it is shown that the jet strength is greater during periods characterized by Ap ~ 5 in comparison to that on exceptionally calm days (Ap = 0 or 1). The asymmetric component of the electrojet field is complex in nature in contrast to that observed at low latitudes outside the jet influence. |
