Monte-Carlo technique is used to compute the growth curve of the primary X-rays, incident on the top of the atmosphere. The calculations take into account the photo-electric attenuation and the multiple Compton scattering. From the comparison of the observed features and the calculated growth curves or primary X-rays, the functional form of the secondary X-rays is derived. These values are compared with the secondary X-rays deduced by log-linear and log-log extrapolation procedures. Effect of these computations on the diffuse back-ground spectrum is evaluated.en_US
