The feasibility of detecting flare events on the back side of the sun from the observations of the radio emissions reflected by a suitably situated planet is pointed out. Rough quantitative estimates of signal strengths and signal-to-noise ratios are made to support the suggestion. The importance and uniqueness of such observations for prediction and solar flare data collection are stressed.en_US
