The spectral characteristics of centimetre-decimetre radio bursts from the sun accompanied by emission of energetic electrons into space have been studied. The electron energy spectra in the radio burst region are derived from the peak burst spectra and they are compared with spacecraft measurements in the interplanetary medium. It is found that they are, in general, harder than those detected in space.en_US
