| Abstract: | Sporadic E occurrence near Nairobi has been studies by means of a 27.8 MHz swept-azimuth oblique backscatter sounder from September 1969 to May 1971. The results are compared with ionosonde data for f Es and fb Es 5 MHz obtained over tile period 1965-1970. A comparison is also made with predictions published by the institute of the Terrestrial Magnetism, Ionosphere and Radio-wave Propagation, Moscow. |
