An analysis is done of the occurrence of sporadic-E at a few high latitude stations on quiet and disturbed days during the IGY and the IQSY. At the upper boundary of the auroral zone the stations show a negative correlation with magnetic activity in IGY and positive correlation in IQSY, whereas stations on the lower boundary of the auroral zone show an opposite effect. This indicates possible movement, towards the pole, of the sporadic-E auroral zone from IGY to IQSY.en_US
