Correlation is attempted between SCL (Sudden Change in Long wave field intensity) observed at Delhi on long wave transmissions from Radio Tashkent (164 kHz) and Radio Alma Ata (182 kHz) and corresponding solar and geophysical events observed at other places in the world during 5-8 March 1970. A special case studied is tile correlation between time variation of X-ray flux during solar flares of 5tband 6th March and the corresponding SCLs. It has been concluded that SCL can be utilized as a reliable and effective means of flare patrol.en_US
