The relationship between the occurrence of sporadic-E and solar activity is not well established for all parts of the world. At high latitudes the negative and positive correlations in American and European zones respectively could be explained on the basis of movement of the north dip-pole. At temperate and equatorial latitudes, definite positive correlation could be shown by considering frequency distribution of occurrence of Es and taking the most probable value as the relevant parameter.en_US
