| Abstract: | Electron-ion collision frequencies were calculated for the summer months of the years 1959-1963by studying the deviative absorption of radio waves in the F2-region at Waltair (7·3°N geomagnetic latitude), India. These collision frequencies were utilized in deducing the electron temperature in the F2- region. It is shown that the electron temperature has a linear relationship with the sunspot number, though such a relationship was not obvious for the collision frequencies, because of the electron density variations. |
