Abstract: An analysis if the experimental results on absorption of ultraviolet radiation by atmospheric gases indicates that the absorption processes obey spin conservation rule. In the light of this, dayglow emissions of the Martian atmosphere are considered. It has been found that the red and green lines of OI and a number of spectral features of CO should be present and that their emission heights should be about 110-210 km from the surface of Mars.
