| Abstract: | The passage of thunderstorms over the equatorial station Thumba during night-time is found to enhance the multiple reflections as well as the maximum frequency of radio waves reflected from the Es-region. The Es generated in association with thunderstorms seems to be more continuous, unlike the daytime sporadic-E which is primarily a broken-up layer, scattering radio waves. |
