Abstract: Higher marine fungi on wood from intertidal beaches and mangroves in Maharashtra coast are reported along with the frequency of occurrence of the species (41 Ascomycetes, 2 Basidiomycetes, 12 Deuteromycetes). Halosphaeria quadricornuta Cribb and Cribb is most dominant species from beach habitats, whereas Massarina velataspora Hyde and Borse is dominant in the mangrove habitats.
