| Abstract: | Mixed oxide CeO2-TiO2 has been employed in the coupled semiconductor configuration for photocatalytic decomposition of methylene blue. This coupling has enabled decomposition with visible light while with pure TiO2 only UV radiation can effect this decomposition. Synergy between the two oxides and the importance of adsorption in photocatalytic decomposition of MB are demonstrated. |
