The vertical temperature profile of the tropical lower atmosphere has been reconstructed from the backscattered signal received by Indian MST radar located at Gadanki (13.47°N, 79.2°E). The reconstructed temperature profile compares well with the altitude variation of temperature obtained from the simultaneously launched radiosonde flight.en_US
