| Abstract: | Copper has both a lithogenous and non-lithogenous component in the sediments of the western continental shelf of India. The overall distribution pattern of the element (on the total sample basis) and its partition patterns between the two components are described. The processes leading to the incorporation of the element in the bottom sediments are discussed. |
