| Abstract: | The synthesis and characterization of four six-coordinated cis- dioxomolybdenum(VI) complex of hydrazinecarboxamides and hydrazinecarbothioamides of the general formula cis- MoO2(L)2 are reported. Spectroscopic (IR,UV,1H, 13NMR and XRD spectral studies) and other analytical data reveal that the ligands react with dioxobis(2,4-pentanedionato )-molybdenum( VI) in 2: 1 molar ratio to give diamagnetic molybdenum(VI) mononuclear complex. The compounds have been tested in vitro and in vivo against a number of fungal and bacterial strains. |
