On the basis of a comparison of the calculated molecular structural factors (length, width and height, etc.) with the cavities’ of micelles, solutes can be divided into small medium big and super molecules. Novel equations derived from the Arm-strong theory are used to discuss the suitability between the solute molecules and micelles which is the main driving force of chromatographic migration. The influence of solubility and hydrogen bond formation of solutes is also described.en_US
