| Abstract: | Reaction of[ {Ru (h6-C6Me6)CI2}2] with 1.4-dicyano trans- 2-butene gives a binuclear complex[{Ru(116 - C6Me6)CI2}2 (Il- DCBT)] which undergoes metathetical reactions with EPh3 ( E = P, As, Sb) and NN donor bases, viz., 2,2'-bipyridine and 1,10' -phenanthroline. The resulting products have been characterised by elemental analyses, IR. UV-Vis 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. |
