Abstract: Conductivity behaviour of aqueous ethanolamine (EA) and solutions of sodium chloride, sodium bromide. sodium iodide and potassium iodide in EA and aqueous EA (0, 15, 30, 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90 mass% EA) mixtures at 298.15 K is reported. The variation of molar conductivity with electrolyte concentration(c) has been fitted to the Fuoss equation and the derived parameters are reported. The ionic conductivities have been estimated using approximate limiting cation transference numbers and used to obtain ionic Walden product (Wion) The variation of Wion with the solvent composition has been analysed in terms of the transsolvation of the ions.
