| Abstract: | Some novel hexa-coordinated mixed-ligand cyanonitrosyl complexes of cobalt(I) having the general formula K2[Co(NO)(CN)4- (L)] (where L= nitrogen donor organic compound have been prepared by the interaction of K2[Co(NO)(CN)4(H2O)]·H2O with L in aqueous- ethanolic medium. The products have been characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductances, magnetic measurements, infrared spectral studies, 1H NMR, UV-vis and thermogravimetric analysis. A tetragonally distorted octahedral structure has been proposed. |
