Abstract: Excess molar volumes of binary mixed solvents containing 2-ethoxyethanol and ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, glycerol and cyclohexane have been measured as a function of composition using a continuous-dilution dilatometer at 298.15 K. The excess molar volumes are negative over the entire range of composition for the systems 2-ethoxyethanol + ethylene glycol, + glycerol; negative as well as positive for 2-ethoxyethanol + propylene glycol and positive for the system, 2-ethoxyethanol + cyclohexane. The results have been used to estimate the excess partial molar volumes of the components.
