| Abstract: | ALPO4-5 molecular sieve has been synthesised using triethanolamine (TEOA) as template in the gel composition TEOA. Al2O3• P2O5.4O H2O at 150°C in 16h. The material crystallizes in hexagonal system, with a = 13.37Å and c = 8.435 Å. Comparative study of as-synthesised AFI cell parameters indicates void filling role of the templates. From thermal studies it has been found that approximately one molecule of triethanolamine exists per unit cell composition. Ethylation of benzene as catalytic test reaction has been carried out. |
