The synthesis of binuclear iron(III) complexesof schiff bases derived from the condensation of 2,6-diformyl-p-cresol with aniline and substituted anilines are reported. The complexes are characterised by elemental analyses, magnetic, IR, electronic, EPR, FAB mass spectra and thermal studies. The schiff base behaves as a tridentate monobasic ligand. IR and FAB mass spectral studies have revealed the dimeric nature of the complexes.en_US
