| Abstract: | Potassium-chloride-hexafluororhenate, K3Cl[ReF6], has been prepared by dissolving KCl and K2ReF6 and then precipitating with cold HCl. It crystallises in analogy to (NH4)3[SiF6] and K3F[SiF6] in a tetragonal structure, with an anti-perovskite superstructure. The complex is converted into a cubic modification at 140°C. The complexes K3Cl[OsF6] and K3Cl[IrF6] have also been synthesised corresponding to the Re compound. |
