| Abstract: | Replacement reactions of 2-chloro-1,3-dithia-2-stibacyclopentane with potassium alkyldithiocarbonates (alkylxanthates) in stoichiometric ratios in benzene/carbon disulphide yield dithiolatoantimony(III) alkyldithiocarbonates of the type SCH2CH2SSbS2COR (where R= Et, Prn, Pri, Bun and Bui). These yellow crystalline solid derivatives have been characterised by elemental analyses, melting points as well as IR and NMR spectral studies. |
