Dioxoruthenium(VI) complexes are found to give low yield of epoxide but good yield of cyclohexenone. The complexes are electroactive giving metal centered RuVI/RuV couple. Cis-stilbene gives trans epoxide and benzaldehyde. Norbornene gives exo epoxy norbornene. The selectivity for allylic oxidation is high.en_US
