| Abstract: | N,N'-(Ethylene)bis(salicylideneimine) (EDSAL), N,N'-( propylene)bis(salicyclideneimine) (PDSAL) and N,N'( o-phenylene)bis(salicylideneimine) (o-PhenSAL) complexes of Mn(III) selenocyanate and 1,2-dihydro-1 ,5-dimethyl- 2-phenyl - 4 -(2'-hydroxynaphthylazo-)3H-pyrazol- 3-one (NAAP) complexes of Mn(III) thiocyanate and selenocyanate of the formulae MnL(NCSe) (L = EDSAL, PDSAL or o-PhenSAL) and MnL(NCX)2 (L = NAAP and X = S or Se) have been isolated and characterized. All the complexes are non-electrolytic in nature. The IR spectra of these complexes are indicative of coordination through nitrogen atom of the NCX group. |
